MLK Day of Service 2022

We made a few changes to our 2022 MLK Day of Service after careful consideration and due to the growing concerns about the surge of COVID cases in our area. We’ve decided to move all in-person projects on a later date and switch to a PICK-UP & DROP-OFF SITE instead. We want to continue caring for our community and there are still ways to serve them despite the restrictions.

What does PICK-UP & DROP OFF SITE mean?
We will have kits available for you to pick up at our site. This means you will be able to prepare them from the safety and comfort of your own home. Kits include toiletries for the homeless, goody bags of snacks and treats, cards of encouragement and care for First Responders, Teachers, Police, Firemen, and Hospital Staff. Once you are done packing, bring them back and drop them off at the designated location at Journey’s Crossing.

PICK UP SCHEDULE: Sunday 1/16 from 1-3PM, Monday 1/17 from 1-3PM.
DROP OFF SCHEDULE: Monday 1/17 from 1-3PM, and Sunday 1/23 from 1-3PM.

We are continuing our partnership with local organization and will be a COLLECTION SITE for them as well. You may drop off the food donations to Germantown Help: bring canned meat/fruit/soup or peanut butter/cereal, OR drop off cleaning products, paper products, trash bags for the Men’s Shelter, or donate online to Amazon Wishlists for the Men’s Shelter, or Women’s Shelters.
