Mission Trip Supply Collections
With almost every mission trip, much needed supplies are collect for shipping or to be taken with our volunteer mission team. These supplies include medicine, health products, clothing, toys, shoes and school supplies. We've even collected mass amounts of supplies backpacks and have filled shipping containers with furniture, appliances an major household items.
Each year, we volunteer to participate in various community sponsored parades such as the Gaithersburg St. Patrick's Day, Forth of July and Labor Day Parade as well as Kentland's Community Day Parade. We will also often make a presence by passing out candy, ice cream or bottled water at various locations around the county
Throughout the year, we collect cans of non-perishable food for needs families around the county in cooperation with The Shepherd's Table and Manna Food Bank.
Walk for the Homeless
Our annual Walk for the Homeless includes two sets of Sunday morning volunteers who sign up to take a short walk around the community to raise funds to help the homeless in our area.
Kid's Day In The Country
We sponsor and volunteer to serve inner city children by treating them to a fun-filled, fall outing with a day in the country.
Trunk-R-Treat Family Xperience
This community outreach event is designed to serve families by providing a safe and free venue where children can learn about God in a fun-filled, creative drama production and collect candy treats from our church volunteers.
Every year, we care for the elderly in our community by helping Forest Oaks Senior Community host a Thanksgiving dinner for their residents.
Black Friday Outreach
Every winter, we spread some Christmas cheer to busy shoppers during Black Friday by giving away free cups of coffee, hot chocolate or apple cider.
Project Snowman & Holiday Meals
Journey's Crossing, in partnership with various non-profit organizations, will provide hundreds of needy fathers, mothers and children with gift cards to purchase a holiday meal or Secret Santa gifts from our church sponsors and volunteers
Seneca Heights Christmas Party
A team of volunteers spread a little holiday joy and host a Christmas Party for those living in transitional housing at Seneca Heights Apartments in Germantown/Gaithersburg area.
Christmas Eve Offering
During our Christmas Eve Services, we raise funds for designates special needs. Over the past couple years, our support has provided money to build five water wells in the remote villages of Sierra Leone, assist with a school building project in India, help purchase a ministry vehicle for missionaries in Thailand and serve expecting, needy family in Gaithersburg.
iServed Sticker Project
We honor the men and women who have served in Iraq, Afghanistan and Vietnam with iServed Sticker outreach projects including global shipments, mass mailings, Veteran's Day Outreach.
